Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards.
a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
b. Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress.
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
d. Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching
Reflection: This standard is one that really allows the educator to create diverse assignments. Creating assignments such as EdPuzzle, Quizizz, Student Needs Survey are all ways that bring students into the curriculum in diverse ways. Each of these assignments have student engagement and interaction that help promote creativity as well as monitor their progression of learning. All three of these platforms help assess student learning and provide useful feedback for the instructor.
Future Learning Goal: I am excited to bring EdPuzzle, Quizizz, and Google Forms Surveys into my classroom. I feel my students can truly navigate and use the feedback provided as well as me be able to truly assess their needs based on the feedback from all platforms. Progression and mastery are goals for all students. These three platforms are just a few of the ways to check for the goals being met.
